Brooklyn College School of Business Named in Honor of Donor

With the more than $1.5 million Koppelman provided, Brooklyn College will work to raise its standard of excellence and further pursue accreditation. After the accreditation process concludes, the Koppelman School will rank as the only accredited business school in Brooklyn, while delivering affordable access to robust degree programs that effectively ready students for careers in the expanding global economy.

School officials note that accreditation will help the Koppelman School attract and support faculty members who are the top professionals in their fields. By achieving accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the school will also be able to secure more career opportunities for graduates and advance the academic excellence of both students and faculty. Koppelman’s gift will specifically support groundbreaking student resources, faculty research, and workshops led by financial industry experts and visiting scholars.
